Where we are

The Institute of Geomatics is located in the Mediterranean Technology Park (PMT) , Castelldefels, 20 Km South from downtown Barcelona and 7 Km South from Barcelona International Airport (15 minutes by taxi, about 20-25 Euros).

 Castelldefels is a coastal town of 50,000 inhabitants, situated 20 minutes from Barcelona and 10 minutes from the Airport, using: the main road (C-245), the dual carriageway (C-31), the motorway (C-32), and bus and trainlines.

By train (30 minutes ride):

Take suburban train C2 (“Rodalies RENFE”) to Castelldefels city station. ( Click here for map)

From there follow the signs “PMT-UPC” and on the Campus “Institut de Geomàtica – Building B6” (Click here for map).


By bus (35 to 45 minutes ride):

No. 95: Barcelona, l’Hospitalet, el Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, Gavà, Castelldefels. (Click here for map)

By car take the C-32 or C-31 (both Barcelona-Sitges-Tarragona), exit "Canal Olímpic" and follow the signs "PMT-UPC". Please use the map from the window besides to personalize your route.

For its pleasent environment and beaches, Castelldefels is of high touristic value and at the same time is one of the technology poles in the surroundings of Barcelona. Castelldefels has an average of 300 sunny days per year.
