The CLOSE-SEARCH project announces dates for its Workshop and Course
The European 7th framework programme CLOSE-SEARCH is reaching its end after the realization of the final test campaign. But before its closure,
two main events will take place to provide a general overview of the project developments, the presented prototype and its results.
CLOSE-SEARCH Open Workshop ( May, 15th, 9 - 12am CEST):
The system and results of the CLOSE-SEARCH projects will be presented by the consortium members as a two-fold presentation: firstly, the aspects related to search missions will be described, and secondly the technological point of view of the system will be given.
UAV and Galileo/EGNOS for SAR operations course ( May, 16th, 9 - 12am CEST):
The course intends to provide a general -yet technical- overview of the main science fields covered in UAV operations for SAR missions. Four topics will be covered: Global Vision on the use of UAVs for SAR; Safe navigation for UAVs; Vision systems in UAVs for SAR; and SAR missions from the user perspective (lecturers to be confirmed).
